Meet Morgan
Hi! I’m Morgan! I am so happy you found this page! Welcome! Here is a little bit about me!
I fell in love with fitness when I was in my early 20’s. I grew up with kyphosis (a forward curve of the spine causing rounded shoulders or mid back) so I understand what it’s like to be frustrated in your body and how hard it can be to find someone who not only understands the body and how it works, but the emotional side of it as well. My kyphosis is something I have to be aware of and take care of forever, in order to have the best quality of life possible. I tried many types of workouts, PT, a back brace (brief but horrific) and it wasn’t until I started taking Pilates, with the right instructors (that’s important) that I really saw a shift in my alignment, not just in my spine but my entire body and spirit. I got certified and never looked back.
I’ve been doing this for a long time! I have multiple certifications in Pilates & movement, including Advanced Therapeutic Techniques & Body Reading. My training has taken me deeper into anatomy & biomechanics than traditional certifications have. I’ve taught it all, from high energy group classes, to private clients who want to gain strength and increase longevity, to clients who are coming back from surgeries, recovering from severe injuries, or who have disabilities. Pilates has helped change my own body, build resilience, manage stress, and gotten me through some pretty trying times (a story for another day). This work has changed my soul in more ways than one, I owe so much healing and growth to this practice, it’s what I was meant to do. My goal as an instructor is to help you connect to your body and breath, through deep cueing, based on anatomy and biomechanics to improve your quality of movement and to help you understand how your body moves and the why behind it. I love to solve problems, and help you navigate your way through issues or injuries you may be dealing with. Maybe you want to move with less pain, maybe you want to be challenged more, or take your practice to another level, maybe you’re looking for a way to calm your nervous system and stress less, I’ve got you! I believe in the mind-body connection and encourage you to be present in the process and to own your practice so you can carry these tools with you outside of the studio as well.
The way I teach Pilates and the body knowledge I have gained, goes far beyond pilates and I wanted to create a place where I could share that all with you! I promise once you start your Pilates journey with me you will have many “a ha moments” that lead to great change, not only in your body but in your life. Let’s do this!
